I got hit by that pesky Blue Shell during an online match in Mario Kart Wii, on the exact same track that you depicted here. It happened near the finish line during the final lap. I thought I was unable to finish 1st in time, as I had my drift set to Automatic due to it being easier with the Wii Wheel. To my surprise and eventual relief, I barely finished 1st! Talk about a close finish!
